Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s Elizabeth Henstridge Is Engaged to Zachary Burr Abel
Marvel at that ring. Actress Elizabeth Henstridge is engaged to boyfriend Zachary Burr Abel.
The Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. actress, 31, announced her relationship status update via Instagram on Monday, April 22. “We have some news to share with you…” Henstridge captioned a photo of her left hand (ring included) covering her fiance’s lips. “A proposal in three parts; Happy, Shocked, Flip Yeah.”
She added, “@zacharyburrabel couldn’t love you more.” Henstridge also posted several photos from the intimate moment, which seemingly took place at home. The actress posted an image of herself crying on the floor with her hands displayed on her cheeks in disbelief.

Burr, an actor who also runs a travel blog, also declared his engagement to the world Monday night in the form of a sweet poem. “Matching tracksuits, chocolate dipped fruits, favorite flowers, and flying for hours. Parents’ blessing, pillow dressing, bottle of bubbly, can I be your hubby?” he wrote. “Bended knee, you and me, floods of tears, 7 days 7 years. 💍🥂🍾❤️ #engaged #fiancé @lil_henstridge.”
Burr proposed to the actress with a large solitaire diamond flanked by two smaller brilliant diamonds.
Hours later, she stepped out proudly sporting her new ring on the red carpet of Marvel’s Avengers: Endgame film premiere Monday evening.

The two have reportedly been dating since 2017. Henstridge, meanwhile, is best known for her role as Jenna Simmons on the Marvel TV series, which is now weeks away form its sixth season on ABC. (S.H.I.E.L.D., by the way, stands for “Strategic Homeland Intervention Enforcement and Logistics Division.)
