Afterpay Partners Up With HBX for the Return of Dropshop

Just in time for the holiday gifting season, Afterpay is bringing back the Dropshop. The global payments and commerce company is offering exclusive access to the most coveted items in partnership with HBX, the global e-commerce platform and retail destination.

Afterpay’s Dropshop was initially launched in April 2021 to give consumers access to shop the exclusive product drops and access to interactive experiences with brands including social media events and brand styles. Past Dropshop experiences include its 2021 NYFW Times Square consumer-facing interactive pop-up.

Geoff Seeley, chief marketing officer of Afterpay, previously told WWD that with the launch of Dropshop, the company was pushing the boundaries in how consumers are shopping and providing them with the most innovative technology and to help pave the way for the future of shopping.

“We’re thrilled to bring back Afterpay’s Dropshop just in time for the busy holiday shopping season,” said Natalie McGrath, vice president of marketing for North America and Europe, the Middle East and Africa at Afterpay. “As a shopping destination, this program allows consumers to optimize their holiday budgets by discovering exclusive access to limited-edition merchandise, offers and experiences only available through the Afterpay app. HBX is a forward-thinking retailer so it was a natural partner for this program giving consumers a buzzy wishlist item during this busiest shopping time of the year.”
