You Can Have Afternoon Tea With These Cute (but Naughty) Sheep in Scotland
There are many different types of tea experiences you can have around the world: a green tea ceremony with geishas in Japan, tea with Queen Elizabeth II in Buckingham palace, or a good ole’ glass of sweet tea on the porch down south.
But now it’s time to buck tradition and have tea with two very, very naughty sheep in the United Kingdom.
Located in the Scottish countryside, “Tea with Naughty Sheep” is a bookable experience on Airbnb. During the 1.5-hour experience, guests will have a classic afternoon tea with a tower of snacks and treats including some delicious looking baked goods set against the rolling green hills and and a beautiful stone farmhouse.
But don’t forget the guests of honor, two Herdwick sheep that join your tea party for some serious snuggles, a whole lot of love, and “a bit of naughtiness and trying to eat all the wrong things,” according to the listing. Don’t worry — the sheep also have their own delicious spread on the table that you can feed the ridiculously soft creatures.
After the tea, guests are invited to go back to the barn with the sheep to say goodbye. If you're lucky, you might be able to give a new baby lamb a warm bottle of milk before heading off on an hour-long circular walk that passes through the Trossachs and Loch Lomond National Park and past a pub. Unfortunately, the sheep — Hamish, Dougal, Benny, and Lochie — can’t join you for a drink.
The unique teatime is part of Airbnb’s new Animal Experiences program. The homesharing site teamed up with World Animal Protection to create a progressive policy on animal welfare to make sure the animals are well looked after and living their best possible lives.
