The affordable beauty products I impulsively bought this month

Once again, I found myself this month hunting and scouring the internet for some great beauty buys. On one hand, I’m not necessarily wearing MORE makeup these days, but I do think I’m making more of a concerted effort to just spruce up my routine with affordable beauty products, ya know?

With that being said, I picked up some goodies throughout the month of July that I’ve been pleasantly surprised by. Read on to find out my thoughts on what’s splurge-worthy.

Shop: Sephora Collection Clean Skin Gel – Cleanse + Tone, $10

I am one of the first people who will tell you I don’t cheat on my cleanser. As someone who already has sensitive skin, I have to be extremely cautious of what products I use and how often I use them. Thankfully, Sephora Collection’s clean skin gel did not break me out, gave me a nice scrub (it’s a gel and not foam) and set me back all of $10. Talk about affordable beauty products!

Shop: Milk Makeup Hydro Grip Primer, $30

This primer truly grips everything in sight. After moisturizing, I apply just a pea-size amount over the oilier parts of my face, and it dries down to a tacky feel. Although it feels weird (like having your face feel like a sticky greaseball), it really holds your makeup in place and doesn’t budge. It’s worth every penny.

Shop: Fenty Beauty Fairy Bomb Shimmer Powder, $28

One thing I love is a good highlight, but why keep it solely focused on your face? Fenty’s fairy bomb in “Trophy Wife” literally takes all the trophies — the loose pigment makes it easy to work with as well as extremely buildable depending on your particular needs.

Shop: Nyx Vivid Brights Eyeliner, $7

In my attempt to re-introduce color eyeliner into my life, I picked up these bright eyeliners by Nyx, and they did not disappoint! Especially with brown skin, color liners can be a toss-up. Thankfully, these were liquid-y enough to really get some color payoff but affordable enough that if it didn’t work out, you wouldn’t feel totally heartbroken.

Shop: MAC Clear Lip Gloss, $17.50

At first, I would have looked at you crazy if you ever told me that I’d spend almost $18 dollars on a lip gloss. However, this gloss is THAT girl. It’s long-wearing with almost that slightly tacky feel of a true gloss product. Some people may not like the sticky factor, but it’s really how a product stays on the lips for so long. I paired this with my cork lip liner and I never looked back.
