Artists from around the world will soon gather in Austin for the city's biggest-ever art event.

The Affordable Art Fair, which takes place internationally in cities such as London, Amsterdam, Hong Kong and Sydney, will take over the Palmer Events Center from May 16-19.

What can I expect at the Affordable Art Fair?

The fair will feature over 60 local, national and international galleries, with works ranging from $100 to $10,000. Works include prints, photos, paintings and sculptures.

Featured Austin galleries include Unchained Art Contemporary Gallery, Adams Galleries, Big Medium, Flatbed Press and more.

What time is the Affordable Art Fair?

Times depend on the day and ticket an attendee has. For Thursday, May 16, a private view will take place from 5-9 p.m. General admission will run from noon to 6 p.m. on Friday, 10 a.m.-7 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on Sunday.

The fair will also hold an event called Art After Dark from 6-8 p.m. Friday. Printing workshops will take place from 5-6 p.m. Saturday and 1-2 p.m. Sunday.

Saturday will also have family hours from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. with a special ticket.

Where can I get Affordable Art Fair tickets?

Tickets are available through Eventbrite.

  • General admission tickets are $14 plus fees and sales tax.

  • A private view + all access pass is $50 plus fees and sales tax.

  • Students, seniors, veterans and those needing ADA accessibility can enjoy tickets for $12.

  • Other special offerings include a family hours ticket for $26 and Art After Dark ticket for $23.
