Adult Swim has officially unveiled the premiere date of Rick and Morty season six.

The new season of the two-time Emmy-winning comedy series is set to premiere globally on September 4, 11:00 p.m. ET/PT. While plot details were not revealed, a press release confirmed that it will "[p]ick up where we left them, worse for wear and down on their luck. Will they manage to bounce back for more adventures? Or will they get swept up in an ocean of piss! Who knows?! Piss! Family! Intrigue! A bunch of dinosaurs! More piss!"

“It’s hard to overstate the impact of Rick and Morty. More than a hit show, it is truly a global phenomenon,” said Michael Ouweleen, president of Adult Swim and Cartoon Network. “As we prepare to launch this soon-to-be iconic season, we will be giving fans a unique way to be part of the fun – so keep your eyes peeled.”

Season five premiered in June 2021 — just a little over a year after the end of season four. Justin Roiland, who co-created and co-executive produces with Dan Harmon, will return as both Rick and Morty alongside Sarah Chalke, Chris Parnell and Spencer Grammer.
