'Parade' caught up with the actress-singer to chat all things motherhood.

Kim Kardashian may be Adrienne Bailon-Houghton's ex's sister, but she remains a close confidant.

In fact, during an exclusive interview with Parade, the E! News host revealed that The Kardashians star gave her guidance before welcoming her own son, named Ever James, via surrogacy in August 2022.

"I didn't know anyone else who had experienced surrogacy except for Kim Kardashian," the Cheetah Girls alum, who dated Kardashian's only brother Rob for two years before breaking up in 2009, shared. "She's so awesome. She ended up giving me so much information and so much insight, and I was so grateful for that because that really sent me on my journey—a journey that I thought was going to be so awkward."

For those who may not know, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star welcomed two of her four children—Chicago, 5, and Psalm, 3—via the birth arrangement method.

Though the 39-year-old star was initially hesitant to try surrogacy, initially thinking the process was "so bizarre," she doesn't regret having chosen this path.

Bailon-Houghton dubbed the whole thing an "incredible experience," revealing that she still has an "awesome relationship" with her surrogate.

"I'm so glad that just now being able to talk about it, it can normalize the idea of surrogacy," she continued. "I feel like in the Latino community it's not something that is talked about or common at all, so for me to just be able to share my story, I hope that it normalizes and opens up the conversations."

All in all, Bailon-Houghton hopes sharing her own situation can help erase the "really bad stigma" surrounding surrogacy, including "the idea that it seemed like something that was done for glamorous reasons or for vanity reasons."

"It's so great that people understand that it is an option if you feel like you've reached the end of all your other options, which that was for me," she added. "I really didn't have another option—and I'm just so grateful that I have my son here."

"It wasn't the way that I imagined," the former The Real talk show noted, but "every time I look at my son I'm just so, so grateful."

Bailon-Houghton is also grateful for her new collaboration with Bounty, telling Parade, "As a new mom, I recognize how important it is to have stuff when you’re cleaning your home that feels efficient and actually gets the job done."

The self-proclaimed "die-hard" Bounty fan even quipped, "I don't know if it’s just in a Latino home, but nobody gets out of the kitchen, so that’s where all the messes are made."
