Adorable Pomsky Puppy Decides to Practice Her Voice at the Crack of Dawn

There's nothing cuter than a puppy learning a new trick, and this video of a little Pomsky practicing howling just might take the cake! Josie is the newest member of The Jackson Family. She's only been with them for a couple of weeks and is learning about her new family and world.

Josie's mom shared a video on Saturday, February 24th of her pup deciding that 6 AM was the perfect time to practice her newly found voice. She's ready to get her day started and wants to play with her big brother Jackson who is also a Husky. Make sure your sound is on to hear her pleas to play!

How adorable is this pretty Pomsky puppy?! I love how in the caption The Jackson Family says, "She's still learning how to Husky." Sounds like she's got her howls down! Huskies are known for being vocal, and many commenters chimed in that they have the same kinds of discussions with their dogs. @Elyana Evans shared, "As Husky owners we really do argue with our dogs LOL! It’s the best!"

Do Pomskies Make Good Pets?

Pomskies are absolutely adorable little dogs! They're a mix between a Pomeranian and the gorgeous Siberian Husky. They stay relatively small, weighing in at just 20 to 30 pounds as an adult. These dogs are affectionate, extremely playful, and loyal to their humans. They make good watchdogs because they are so protective of their family. They're extremely intelligent and trainable and get along well with children and other dogs.

As you could see from this video, Pomskies are vocal, and they also tend to be barkers, something not all families enjoy. Huskies are working dogs, so it makes sense that Pomskies are high energy dogs. Forget lounging on the couch - your Pomsky is going to want to play, take lots of walks, and always be busy. When they get bored they find things to do, like chew up anything and everything they can find, as well as barking and howling.

Pomskies love the cold and snow, so if you live in that type of winter environment, your pup will love it! Both Pomeranians and Siberian Huskies have double fur coats, making them able to thrive in freezing temps... which leads us to grooming. These dogs shed year-round. Daily brushing will help but keep the vacuum cleaner out because you'll need it. They also shed their entire undercoat in both the spring and fall, making for quite a mess in the house.

As with all dog breeds, there are pros and cons to having them. Do thorough research before deciding to get one (did I mention they are expensive?), and if possible, talk to Pomsky owners to get honest feedback about the breed. There are so many cute dog breeds out there, so if this one isn't for you, move on to the next one!
