Adorable Deaf Shelter Dog Has Been Waiting Over 400 Days For a Home
Fonzi is waiting in Texas for his forever family!
There are loving dogs across the country in search of their forever homes, and each one is special in their very own way. That means nearly everyone can find their perfect match! Whether you're searching for a hiking buddy or someone to snooze next to on the sofa, there's a shelter dog out there for you.
If you're near Dallas, however, you may want to visit the SPCA of Texas to meet Fonzi. This precious shelter pup has been waiting over 400 days to find his forever home, and we sure think it's time that he found it.
Fonzi is such a handsome dog! He was so gentle when he took a treat from his caretaker's hand, and our hearts nearly melted when he approached the camera to ask for more pets. Is there anything this pup can't turn into something cute?
Just by looking at Fonzi, we never would've guessed that he's deaf. But it's true! Unfortunately, he had to undergo bilateral 'TECABO' surgery to remove the tympanic bulla and eardrums of both ears. However, this sweet dog becomes super attached to his loved ones and rarely leaves their side.
And if you need the secret for becoming his BFF, just make sure to keep some extra treats on hand at all times. He'll surely thank you for it!
Anyone in the area can drop in to meet Fonzi at the SPCA of Texas between the hours of 12 and 6 pm. If you have a young child or another dog at home, the shelter also will help arrange a meet-up to make sure everyone gets along just fine.
