This Adorable Clip of Jonathan Scott and Zooey Deschanel Demolishing a Kitchen Together Proves That Opposites Attract

On Monday, December 14, Drew and Jonathan Scott's hit show Celebrity IOU will return for its second season. While we're looking forward to seeing the builder brothers back in their element, we're particularly excited for the premiere episode. Get this: Zooey Deschanel (a.k.a. Jonathan Scott's girlfriend!) will be the celebrity guest star. Not only will this be the New Girl alum's HGTV debut, but it will also be the first time fans get to see just how well she and Jonathan work together on big projects.

As a refresher, Celebrity IOU follows the Scott brothers as they help well-known celebrities surprise loved ones with special renovation projects. On Monday's episode, Drew and Jonathan help Deschanel surprise her lifelong friend with an updated lower level. The exclusive clip from the episode above shows Deschanel and the brothers mid-demolition.

"That's the most romantic thing you and I have ever done," Jonathan jokingly says to Deschanel as he assists her with removing a marble countertop. From the looks of it, the She and Him singer does not appear to have a passion for construction like her beau (but hey, opposites attract!). As the twin brothers continue to rip the home apart, she volunteers to paint.

Deschanel explains: "I love spending time with Jonathan more than anything in the world... he's the best." However, she jokes that she'd "rather watch him do it from afar... with headphones on." She explains that her least favorite part of being on site is all the noise.

The couple met in August 2019 and began dating the following month. Both coming from previous marriages, the pair appears to be taking things slow. In fact, Jonathan recently shut down rumors that he and and Deschanel were engaged.
