The year 2019 got off to a very adorable start, with stars like Carrie Underwood, Andy Cohen, and Lily Aldridge among the first to welcome tiny additions to their families. It’s always exciting to see some new celebrity babies enter the world, and we certainly have had a lot to ooh and aah over: Meghan Markle, Kim Kardashian West, Amy Schumer, and Jessica Simpson are just some of the celebrities who have welcomed children this year.

Jacob Bryan Fisher
Country superstar Carrie Underwood and her husband, Mike Fisher, welcomed their second son on January 21. Little Jacob Bryan Fisher joins big brother Isaiah, age three. “Our hearts are full, our eyes are tired, and our lives are forever changed,” Underwood wrote on Instagram. “Life is good.”

However, Jeter’s company, The Players’ Tribune, did confirm their child’s January 31 arrival via Twitter: “Congratulations Derek and Hannah on the birth of your second baby girl, Story Grey Jeter. Welcome to the family, #2.” The Jeters also have a daughter named Bella, who was born in 2017.
Benjamin Allen Cohen
Andy Cohen welcomed his first child, born via surrogate, on February 4. Benjamin Allen, measuring nine pounds, two ounces, and 20 inches long, arrived at 6:35 p.m. PT. “WOW! This is my son, Benjamin Allen Cohen,” he wrote on Instagram. “He is named after my grandfather Ben Allen. I’m in love. And speechless. And eternally grateful to an incredible surrogate. And I’m a dad. Wow. ♥️🌈”
Gene Attell Fischer
On Sunday, May 5, Amy Schumer gave birth to her first child, Gene, with her husband Chris Fisher. For the birth announcement, Schumer (who had joked about being in competition with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle) kept it simple with the Instagram caption reading, “10:55 pm last night. Our royal baby was born.”
Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle welcomed their first child, Archie, on May 6. “It’s magic. It’s pretty amazing. I have the best two guys in the world, so I’m really happy,” the Duchess of Sussex told journalists. Her husband added, “It’s been great. Parenting is amazing…. We are just so thrilled to have our own bundle of joy and to be able to spend some precious time as he slowly starts to grow up.”
Birdie Mae Johnson
Jessica Simpson and husband Eric Johnson welcomed their third child, daughter Birdie Mae, on March 19. “We are so happy and proud to announce the birth of our perfect daughter, Birdie Mae Johnson,” the couple shared. Simpson also revealed that her youngest child entered the world at a whopping 10 pounds, 13 ounces.

Alessi Ren Luyendyk
The Bachelor’s Arie Luyendyk Jr. and Lauren Burnham welcomed their first child, a daughter, on May 29. “This was first time she laid eyes on me and I’m forever changed ❤️,” Luyendyk wrote on Instagram. Burnham added, “She is sweet, calm and @ariejr and I could not be more in love with her.💗”
Jasper Clinton Mezvinsky
Chelsea Clinton announced via Twitter that she gave birth to her third child (with husband Marc Mezvinsky) on July 22. “This morning we welcomed our son, Jasper Clinton Mezvinsky,” she wrote. “We are overflowing with love and gratitude and can’t wait to introduce him to his big sister and brother.”
Henry Harold “Hal” Hager
Jenna Bush Hager and Henry Hager welcomed their third child on Friday, August 2. “Our life has never been sweeter,” Jenna wrote on Instagram alongside a pic of herself holding baby Henry. This is Jenna and Henry’s first son.
Charlie Wolf Tell
On Wednesday, October 9, Lauren Conrad announced that she and her husband, William Tell, have welcomed their second child, a boy named Charlie Wolf Tell. They already have one son, Liam, who was born in July 2017. “Our sweet baby boy, Charlie Wolf Tell, has arrived,” Conrad wrote on Instagram.
Myles Spiegel
Miranda Kerr welcomed her third son (the second with her husband, Snapchat founder Evan Spiegel) in October. “We are overjoyed at the arrival of Myles and so appreciate everyone’s kind words and wishes during this special time,” she wrote on Instagram. “We couldn’t be more excited to welcome our beautiful son into our family.”
Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively’s third daughter
It appears Reynolds revealed that he and Lively welcomed daughter number three via a tweet that referenced his “daughters.” The couple kept her birth a secret for weeks, and most outlets are reporting that this is the first photo of the newborn. (Reynolds’s tweet, however, doesn’t confirm this either way.) The couple already have two daughters, James and Inez.
Shay Mitchell’s daughter
Pretty Little Liars star Shay Mitchell welcomed her first child with boyfriend Matte Babel in October. “Never letting go,” she wrote in an Instagram caption showing her daughter’s hand in hers. In November, she revealed the name of her daughter to Vogue: Atlas.
Renn Martin-Yosef
Singer Ricky Martin took to Instagram to announce the birth of his fourth child with husband Jwan Yosef. “Nuestro hijo Renn Martin-Yosef ha nacido,” he wrote in the caption, which translates to “Our son Renn Martin-Yosef was born.”
Danielle Brooks’s daughter
