Adobe Releases 'All-in-one' Video Editing App Premiere Rush for Creating Social Video

Adobe is releasing a video editing app on Monday that will help you take your Instagram videos to the next level.

Adobe Premiere Rush CC is an “all-in-one, cross-device” video editing platform that brings several features associated with professional editing software (which typically require a more powerful desktop computer) to iPhone, iPad and Windows — and soon Android as well.

The app syncs with the Creative Cloud, and Adobe provides 100 GB of storage so that video shot and edited on any device is immediately available to edit on all your others. When the final product is ready for social, it can be shared from the app seamlessly, and unleashed upon your Instamasses.

Adobe previewed the app over the summer, and will announce the publicly available app at Adobe MAX in Los Angeles on Monday.

While the most obvious appeal is for content creators looking for an on-the-go solution to creating professional-quality video for Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook, the app is beginner-friendly to the point where even with minimal experience you can be editing in minutes. Premiere Rush simplifies editing — including adding transitions, background music, and titles — into a mobile interface that offers all the necessities on a screen the size of a smartphone, while also offering cross-device access for more complicated projects.

Those who already have experience editing, whether with Adobe Premiere or other software, will be pleased with the easy access to the most useful features.

Adobe Premiere Rush CC is now available for iOS (for iPhone, iPad, and Mac) and Windows, and will be available on Android some time next yaer, the company says.

There's a free Starter Plan for the app, while individual subscriptions are $9.99 a month (through Adobe.com or the App Store), or included in several Creative Cloud memberships.
