Adidas and Topps get together to create baseball-card inspired cleats

These are the things of childhood dreams: Adidas and Topps, two iconic sports brands, have come together to create a line of baseball-card inspired kicks and cleats. The shoes, which dropped this week, came after the Adidas design team met up with Topps and opened packs of cards looking for inspiration.

The results? A line that includes Adidas’ Adizero Afterburner cleats, Adidas’ Icon cleats and the Icon Trainer, all of which are eye-catching with their chrome/hologram look — an homage to baseball cards from the present and past. What baseball fans might notice is most is that the hologram areas feature baseball-card style stat lines.

The cleats and trainers are all available on adidas.com, ranging in price from $110-$140.
