adidas Skateboarding in collaboration with its teamrider and THAMES MMMXX. founder Blondey McCoy is unveiling the brand new Blondey Pro Model, an homage to the rider’s longstanding affinity for the timeless Superstar. Uniting innovative design features that were first introduced in the Blondey Superstar with the DNA of the original Superstar, the new skateable model is an authentic reflection of Blondey’s avant-garde vision and creative legacy that continues to influence and inspire skateboarding and fashion landscapes around the world. The Blondey Pro Model in INDIGO / AURUM will be available for purchase on August 5 exclusively via thamesmmxx.com and on adidas’ CONFIRMED app for $130 / €130. The FTW WHITE / CORE BLACK / OFF WHITE colorway will be available globally starting August 25 via www.adidas.com/skateboarding and in select specialty skate retailers.

“Making your own stuff from scratch is one thing. But being trusted with another brand’s DNA, to build on a tried-and-tested formula, to pen a chapter or even a paragraph in a book like this–it’s a great responsibility,” says Blondey. 

Debuting in two colorways, the Blondey Pro Model builds upon the rider’s tradition of mixing high fashion-inspired aesthetics with skate performance features in a fully transparent TPU upper–a bold material that has been a staple in Blondey’s foremost footwear releases with the brand. Amassing a cult following for its unique style and added durability while on or off the board, the see-through upper is paired with the classic look and feel of the Superstar shell toe alongside the skateboarder’s namesake accented in gold foil, synthetic leather eyestays, signature sockliner and serrated three stripes. The latest evolution from adidas’ enduring athlete-led partnership seamlessly balances functionality and durability with style that’ll resonate with both skateboarders and sneakerheads alike.
