Adele Posted Her First Personal Remarks About Her Split from Simon Konecki
Last month, Adele and Simon Konecki confirmed that they are splitting up after being married for a little over two years. But the singer has not said anything personal about the news beyond what her publicist released-until now.

On her Instagram Sunday, the singer posted for her 31st birthday and took a chance to comment on the year she's had and what she's learned from it. In true Adele fashion, she was candid about her struggles and her outlook on the future with the following message:
"This is 31...thank fucking god 💀30 tried me so hard but I’m owning it and trying my hardest to lean in to it all. No matter how long we’re here for life is constant and complicated at times. I’ve changed drastically in the last couple years and I’m still changing and that’s okay. 31 is going to be a big ol’ year and I’m going to spend it all on myself. For the first time in a decade I’m ready to feel the world around me and look up for once. Be kind to yourself people we’re only human, go slow, put your phone down and laugh out loud at every opportunity. Learning to REALLY truly love yourself is it, and I’ve only just realized that that is more than enough. I’ll learn to love you lot eventually 😂

Last year, the singer celebrated her 30th birthday party with a Titanic-themed party.

This year, she seemed to take things a little further into the 20th Century with a possible theme of "NYE '31," which you can see in the corner of one of the photos in her Instagram slideshow.
