Addison Rae isn't afraid to poke fun at herself, and her latest tweets prove it.
Though it has yet to be confirmed, rumors have been swirling that Addison Rae and other social media influencers will be attending this year's Met Gala, leading to plenty of mixed reactions — and memes, of course. One meme in particular grabbed Addison's attention and she RT'ed it with a cute joke.
The meme in question imageines a run-in at the Gala between Addison and Lady Gaga, with Gaga mistaking Addison for a server at the event; Addison then clarifies and meme-Gaga repeats her request. The tweet went super-viral, with over 5,000 retweets and 56,000 likes, and Addison made it even more popular when she quote tweeted it, saying, "I would do anything for you @ladygaga." (Gaga has yet to respond to the tweet in question.)
Rumors about Addison's Met Gala attendance have been floating around for a while, both on the gossip Instagram account Deuxmoi and again this week when a reported "leaked seating chart" hit the internet courtesy of the account @PopFactions. Addison and fellow social celebs like Emma Chamberlain were part of the reported guest list, but their attendance has yet to be confirmed or denied.
Big things are on the horizon for Addison regardless of her
Met Gala status. Her new movie, He's All That, hits Netflix on August 27; she plays a popular girl who decides to turn a classmate into the prom king, a twist on the '90s classic She's All That. While we may or may not see her on the Met Gala red carpet, we'll be seeing a lot of Addison on red carpets in the future.
