Addison Rae has responded to backlash following her appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last week. On Friday night, Addison went on the late night show and performed eight popular TikTok dances for Jimmy. During the segment, though, neither she, nor the show, credited the original creators of the various dances, many of whom are Black.

"This is what white privilege looks like—Black creators innovate dances and do them amazingly but Addison Rae gets invited on Fallon to perform them in a ho-hum way," one Twitter user said. "She’s not racist, Fallon’s not racist, but somehow the Black dancers are erased. Even though they dance better."

"So none of the people who actually made these dances were available???????" asked another.

On Monday, TMZ asked Addison about the situation. She said that all the creators were credited in the YouTube video. Since the video was originally posted, credits have been added. Now, when you click "show more" in the description of the video, the credits appear.

"It's kind of hard to credit during the show," she continued. "They all know that I love them so much and I support all of them so much and hopefully one day we can all meet up and dance together."

Addison also said that she is speaking to Jimmy about the situation privately. It's unclear if they have any plans to credit the creators further.
