Fried food and burgers go together like peanut butter and jelly. It's why fries are the only acceptable side to a cheeseburger and we create so many weird combinations like donut burgers. It just works. But now Carl's Jr. and Hardee's have taken it up a notch with their new invention, which is aptly named the Big Fried Cheese.

Starting now, you can add the BFC to any burger and it's the crunchy, carby, cheese pull-y burger topping of your dreams. It's made up of a wheel of cheddar and mozzarella cheese coated in a seasoned breading that is fried crispy until golden brown. Putting it on top of a burger patty gives you way more cheese than your typical cheeseburger and makes it feel way more luxe.

Bonus: You can also have it added on top of any of any of the chains' breakfast sandwiches, too. That means you can add a BFC on top of your Beyond Meat Sausage Biscuit. Wow, you're wildddd.

The best part is this upgrade will come at a pretty small cost of $3. When you think of all the other upgrades in your life (flights, phone plans), this is nothing. And fried cheese makes me a lot happier than talking on the phone. I cannot be alone here.

If you're looking for a bit of inspiration, Carl's Jr. and Hardee's are also launching The BFC Angus Thickburger, a burger created around the BFC. It includes an Angus beef burger, topped with the BFC, lettuce, tomato and Boom Boom sauce, served on a toasted, buttery premium bun.

While all signs point to this menu offering sticking around for the time being, if you're human at all, you've already clicked away from this article, got in your car and ordered this burger. Anyone still here? Hello?
