Adaptation Wines—from the PlumpJack Collection of Wineries—has officially launched its new Adaptation Experience. Headed by winemaker Andrew Haugen, Adaptation is Napa Valley's best kept secret. The experience is geared towards helping you encounter luxury in unexpected places. In the beautiful setting of Odette Estate Winery where Adaptation Wines are produced, the tasting menu is paired with a menu of crispy & savory potato chips.

Our goal from the start with the Adaptation label was to create an experience, whether at home or at one of our wineries, that is both dynamic and approachable,” said John Conover, Managing Partner of the PlumpJack Collection of Wineries. “Napa Valley—and the wine industry in general—is constantly changing and developing, and we are proud to offer visitors an experience to discover the diversity and range of the valley’s terroir while enjoying unparalleled hospitality; all without breaking the bank.”

The wines are sourced from renowned vineyards spanning the Napa Valley region, including: Howell Mountain, Pope Valley, Oak Knoll, Stags Leap District, and Carneros. The complexity with elegance that Adaptation aims for is the culmination of decades-long friendships with Napa Valley growers. The kind of relationships that enable them to capture the essence of the current moment in the industry, making Adaptation a needle-in-a-haystack type gem among the Titans of Napa Valley wine.

Located within the Odette Estate Winery, the Adaptation label has become a staple of the PlumpJack Collection portfolio in recent years. The label serves as a more accessible entry point to the Odette Estate Winery portfolio and the PlumpJack Collection, allowing the tasting experience to be done at a reasonable price of $60 per person. The Adaptation Experience is designed to appeal to those seeking a more casual Napa Valley experience.

Andrew Haugen was appointed head winemaker for Odette Estate and Adaptation in July of 2023, after gaining experience at wineries across the globe. His experience has taken him to posts at Stonestreet in Sonoma County, Church Road Winery in New Zealand, Howard Park in Australia, and Gran Moraine in Oregon's Willamette Valley, Haugen first joined Odette Estate in 2015 and worked his way up from cellar master to enologist, then to assistant winemaker, and now he stands as head winemaker.

Located at 5998 Silverado Trail in Napa, Odette Estate’s Adaptation Experience is held in the front tasting room. Open seven days a week for walk-ins and appointments from 10:00am to 4:00 pm, Odette Estate Winery can be reached by calling (707) 224-7533, emailing tastingroom@odetteestate.com, or visiting www.odetteestate.com.
