Though Adam Sandler has been a leading man in many films alongside some of Hollywood's most iconic actors—Jennifer Aniston and Drew Barrymore, anyone?—, his leading lady IRL has been in his life for over two decades. Enter: His wife, Jackie Sandler.
The couple first met on the set of his 1999 film Big Daddy, and the rest is history in the best possible way. Adam and Jackie tied the knot in 2003 and welcomed two daughters, Sunny and Sadie—all the while helping each other both professionally and personally along the way. Jackie and Adam Sandler met on the set of Big Daddy
According to People, Adam and Jackie reportedly met on the set of the 1999 film Big Daddy, which also stars Cole and Dylan Sprouse (fun fact!). So yeah, the more ya know! In the film, Jackie actually plays the waitress who takes Adam's root beer order during a scene in a sports bar. Here's a sneak peek of her role for the ~mems~:
They've been married for decades
The couple tied the knot on June 22, 2003, which means their 20-year anniversary is coming up soon! Back then, the couple celebrated their nuptials with a Jewish ceremony at the late legendary TV personality Dick Clark's Malibu estate. And ofc, the wedding was a truly star-studded affair, with everyone from Jennifer Aniston and Sharon Osbourne to Rodney Dangerfield in attendance along with ~400 other guests.
These two have since commemorated their wedding date plenty of times since, but Adam has also taken note of the anniversary of the first day they met. Two years ago, the actor shared the sweetest tribute to Jackie on Instagram in honor of the special milestone: "22 years ago today we locked eyes and fell deep. Look forward to the next 22, young lady. Love you my forever girl," Adam wrote alongside a throwback pic of himself and Jackie.

Jackie and Adam share two daughters
Sadie, the couple's first daughter, was born in May 2006. Two years later, Jackie and Adam welcomed their second daughter, named Sunny, in November 2008. And if simply being Adam and Jackie's children wasn't cool enough, the sisters have gone on to appear in a number of their father's films too, including Hubie Halloween, Hotel Transylvania, and Murder Mystery. "They make it look like I'm forcing them to do it," Adam joked during an October 2020 episode of The Drew Barrymore Show about his daughters' film roles. "Meanwhile, they were asking me the whole damn year, 'Can I be in your next movie, Daddy?'"
Another truly lol-worthy moment occurred in November 2022, when Adam received the Film Tribute Award at the Gotham Awards in New York City. The actor admitted he was "too busy" to write a speech, so he let his daughters come up with one for him instead. Tbh, you've just gotta watch the vid in full for yourself, but here's a sneak peek of the epic address roast: "Thank you mommy for putting up with daddy and his crazy f*cking mood swings all these years...Now that truly is a feat deserving of a lifetime achievement award."
Jackie and Adam have the sweetest professional 'ship, too
Like, not only has Jackie made at least 30 cameos in movies with Adam, but she's also encouraged him to appear in projects that he's subsequently been recognized for. Case in point? When the actor received the Best Actor Award for his role in Uncut Gems at the 2020 National Board of Review Gala, he gave a huge shoutout to his wife, who had encouraged him to take the role in the first place.
"My badass wife, she gave me the balls to take the part," Adam gushed during the event when speaking about Jackie. "I was scared and she said, 'Go f*cking do that thing' and 'You can do that sh*t' and we rehearsed together all the time."
Adam echoed these sentiments even earlier when he opened up to Ellen DeGeneres and spoke about the film and his wife's support, saying, "We do this together, me and Jackie."
"Movies, you know, we discuss what I’m gonna to do. And she gives me strength and courage to jump into this stuff."

In a September 2022 cover story for AARP The Magazine, Adam discussed his "secret" to a good marriage. "Jackie and I like spending time with each other," the actor reflected. "We try to make each other laugh, try to listen, try to include each other, try to support each other. We try our best—that's all. And we don't ever think of not being together. We always talk about our future together."
