Adam Glassman, Oprah Daily creative director and a special correspondent for Extra, had a front-row seat to the latest in celebrity fashion at the 81st Golden Globe Awards. He and Mona Kosar Abdi, Extra senior correspondent and weekend cohost, broke down some of their favorite looks from the star-studded event. Oprah and Gayle King were in attendance, along with stars of The Color Purple Fantasia Barrino, Danielle Brooks, and Coleman Domingo, and an array famous faces from many popular movies and television shows.

Oprah—who presented the last award of the night, Best Motion Picture, Drama—wore a purple Louis Vuitton gown, paying homage to the recently released musical adaptation of The Color Purple. The vibrant dress reportedly took a whopping 600 hours to create. She served as an executive producer on the 2023 film, which was nominated for two Golden Globes. Oprah and Danielle Brooks each scored their first Golden Globes nomination for their portrayals of the character Sofia in the 1985 and 2023 films, respectively.
