Actress D’Arcy Carden is at Her Peak — Here’s How

Despite having recently made her highly anticipated Broadway debut, actress D’Arcy Carden isn’t feeling bogged down by long days of rehearsals and even longer nights performing.

We sat down with Carden to talk about her busy schedule and how the Citizen CZ Smart watch helps her deliver powerful performances.

Walk us through a day in your life right now. How does the CZ Smart watch fit into it?
I’m doing my first Broadway play in New York City right now, and it's been so thrilling. When I come off the stage, the cast usually hangs out, or if some friends have come to see the show, we’ll get a little food afterwards. When I come home I’m always buzzing. Like, I could stay up until four in the morning if left to my own devices. So, I’ve been using the YouQ app a lot during this time, even if it’s just for peace of mind. I also go to sleep and wake up according to my chronotype baseline as much as I can. During the day, I can track when my energy will dip, so I usually make the choice to take a Power Fix to keep my energy levels up.

How do you style your CZ Smart watch?
I've been really into the sporty look, rocking the PQ2 Casual Touchscreen model in either the light blue silicone or white silicone strap model for spring and summer… I really enjoy how easy it is to change out the straps, and there are so many options, from silicone, to leather, to a stainless steel bracelet, and a mesh bracelet. The rose gold mesh bracelet is usually my standby — it’s just so beautiful and it goes with every outfit. People always say that they can't believe it's a smartwatch.
Out of all the characters you’ve played, which one do you think could have benefited the most from a CZ Smart watch?
Janet on “The Good Place” would have loved a CZ Smart watch. It would have been like a best friend for her, or a twin soul. To me, the watch gives you the information you need in the moment, and on the show all Janet wanted to do was problem solve and help people in any way she could. And I feel like that’s what the CZ Smart watch is. It’s like ‘here's the information you wanted, but I'm also gonna give you little tips and tricks and ways to make your life better in every way.’ In that sense, the CZ Smart watch is basically a little Janet on your wrist.

What do you love the most about the CZ Smart watch?
I'm so honored to work with a brand like Citizen. They really are doing smartwatches in a way that hasn't been done before, and that was really interesting to me. I can get a little overwhelmed by technology, because sometimes it just feels like it's moving so fast. But the CZ Smart watch is not a catch-all kind of watch.
