Since beginning his weight loss transformation last year, rapper Action Bronson has dropped more than 125 pounds, down from more than 400 pounds at his heaviest. In a new Instagram post, Bronson celebrated his progress with a throwback to the day it all started, sharing a clip of himself lightly jogging on the treadmill in a mostly empty gym.

"THIS WAS *DAY ONE* I SHOWED UP TO THE GYM AND @davepfit ASKED ME TO GET ON TREADMILL. IT WAS AT THAT POINT HE TOLD ME HE WAS MORTIFIED BY HOW I LOOKED. I HAD ALREADY LOST 65 LBS ALONE BUT MAN WAS I FUCKED UP. WHAT A DIFFERENCE A YEAR MAKES."

In an interview with Men's Health, Bronson credited the birth of his son for giving him the motivation to start eating healthier and working out. "You always want to be around for your family," he said. "It wasn’t going to happen unless I made that decision myself, and, you know, it takes some soul-searching and some shit to really bother you.

Through his Instagram account, Bronson now frequently shares highlights from his intense workouts—often HIIT-style routines involving kettlebell swings, tire flips, medicine ball slams, squats, as well as plenty of cardio work, including boxing and, of course, the treadmill. (In the past week alone, he visited the Onnit gym with Joe Rogan for a kettlebell workout before joining the comedian on his podcast.)

Bronson has also previously credited the transformation of Yankees pitcher CC Sabathia for helping motivate him to begin his fitness and weight loss journey. Turns out, the Sabathia family may have yet more inspiration to provide: In the comments to Bronson's post, Sabathia's wife Amber wrote, "Got a NYC marathon entry with your name on it."

Sounds like Bronson may be due for another appointment on that treadmill.
