Surprised? Yeah, us too.Disney has been capitalizing on childhood throwbacks the past few years with live-action remakes of some of our favorite films, in addition to sequels that really pulled at our heartstrings. Still, Lilo & Stitch hasn't exactly been top of mind lately, even for the most hardcore Disney fans.
Nevertheless, searches for Lilo & Stitch Halloween costumes are up a whopping 1,205 percent. Perhaps less surprising is the fact that three of the top five couple’s costume searches are for Disney pairs—Woody and Bo Peep, Timon and Pumbaa and, of course, everyone’s favorite oddball Hawaiian duo. The list rounds out with Velma and Daphne from Scooby Doo and Uma Thurman’s and John Travolta’s characters from Pulp Fiction.
While Lilo’s look is decently easy to recreate (all you need is a red crop top, grass skirt and matching leafy headband or a palm-print T-shirt dress and sandals), Stitch might require a bit more creativity to emulate. That is, unless you go the cozy route and opt for a Stitch fleece onesie. Either way, we’re looking forward to seeing multiple versions of the trouble-making alien and his right-hand gal come October 31.
