Absolutely Gigantic Maine Coon Cat Must Be Seen To Be Believed
All of us cat owners make jokes about cats, especially if we have one on the (ahem) larger size, calling them a big boi or chonky. Well, we all need to apologize to our cats because they are nothing compared to this majestic Maine Coon.
Maine Coon cats are one of the largest domestic cat breeds, weighing between 10-25 pounds, and we think this guy in the following image is one of the biggest we have ever seen!

The New York Post recently reported on this big boy and said Yuliya Minina, from Stary Oskol, Russia, claims her 3-year-old Maine Coon cat Kefir is “the largest cat in the world.” At 28 pounds, Kefir has a pretty good shot at winning that title.

Maine Coons are an amazingly smart breed of cat and they are sometimes compared to dogs because of their outgoing nature and the Maine Coon's ability to learn how to perform tricks. These cats are playful and great with other cats, dogs and children.
You can check your local shelter or a Maine Coon rescue for one of these gorgeous cats, but before adopting one you need to realize they require frequent grooming and they can sometimes be prone to certain genetic health issues, such as hip dysplasia and hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (Which is a type of heart condition.)
