Find out when the ABQ Library's summer reading program starts

May 16—Time to get your read on!

The Albuquerque Public Library will kick off its summer reading program titled, "Adventure Begins at Your Library," June 1 at most libraries.

The Alamosa and Westgate library branches will host their kick-off June 3.

The program aims to help children maintain their reading skills over summer break.

Readers of all ages are welcome to join, and are divided into groups of babies, 0-2; children, 3-8; tweens, 9-12; teens 13-17 and adults 18 and up.

Participants can pick up a reading log at their closest library and track their reading progress.

This is a set-your-own-pace program, allowing you to set your own reading schedule. Participants in the babies to teens category can bring their completed reading log in weekly for prizes, and adults are entered to win weekly prizes with each completed reading log.

The program will last eight weeks, the last day will be July 27.
