May 15—Free rides on the P&R Railroad, music and a variety of food will be available during All Aboard Thursdays at Depot Green.

"It's a family event," said Muskogee Parks and Recreation Director Mark Wilkerson. "It's a chance for kids to ride the train and find some good food truck food."

This year's series of monthly street parties begins at 6 p.m. Thursday. They will be held the third Thursday of each month.

Last year's All Aboard Thursdays attracted about 500 people each day, he said. "I think it's continuing to grow each month as people become more familiar with it and listen to the music."

The Destination, a Red Dirt band from Stigler, will perform at 6 p.m. Thursday at the main stage. Muskogee's rock cover band, Reversing Radio, will take the stage at 7:30 p.m.

Each All Aboard Thursday will feature a different genre of music, Wilkerson said.

"We had bluegrass last year, we had country and we had jazz funk music," he said, adding that the soul and funk band D'Elegantz will perform in August.

Cornhole games will be set up and there will be games and inflatables for children.

All Aboard Thursdays planner Ahna Jennings said this month's food truck lineup includes Mama B's Italian, Bear's Kitchen, Steph's Food Vibes and Red's Pick Me Up Truck.

"As always, our kids zone is free and our train rides will be free thanks to Communication Federal Credit Union," Jennings said. "The event showcases local talent, food trucks, vendors and Muskogee's beautiful Depot District. There is something for everyone at this community event."
