Aaron Clancy Reacts to Katie Thurston Accidentally Calling Him “Thomas” at the ”Men Tell All”
The Bachelorette’s “Men Tell All” special went down last night, and at one point Katie Thurston mistakenly called Aaron Clancy “Thomas” while speaking to him. Which, truly yikes. As Entertainment Tonight reports, the moment came after Aaron said, “I know my journey really got encompassed by conflict, but hopefully, you know that I always had your best interests at heart. Hopefully, it made it easier for you to fall in love with whoever you did. I don’t know how it ended, but I’m always going to be in your corner.”
In response, Katie replied, “Thanks, Thomas”
Following the episode, Aaron told ET that this was definitely the “craziest” moment of the evening but that he’d already forgiven Katie. “I think the craziest moment was when Katie accidentally called me Thomas,” he said. “I’ve already forgiven Katie. My therapist might not, but I’ll send her the therapy bills.”
Katie also spoke to ET, saying she “will never forgive” herself and “I really have no words at this point. No comment. I will apologize 100 times. It will never be good enough though.”
Katie’s other exes also commented on the moment, with Tre saying, “I would be lying if I said that’s not going to be sticking with me forever. I’m going to give Aaron a hard time about that for the rest of our time as friends. It was an innocent slip of the tongue, but it’s just funny.”
FYI, Aaron also hopped on Instagram to joke about the moment, saying, “Hey Katie, it’s Thomas here...no it’s not! It’s Aaron!” So...looks like the pair have put this behind them!
