AA Women's Services and American Heritage Girls team up for Drive-Thru Baby Shower

May 23—CORBIN — AA Women's Services and the Whitley County American Heritage Girls Troop teamed up to host a Drive-Thru Baby Shower where people could donate baby items to be given out to those in need.

The event was held Monday at Grace on the Hill Church in Corbin.

Volunteers from Grace on the Hill, AA Women's Services, and the American Heritage Girls all participated in the event.

The goods that were donated were taken to AA Women's Services to be distributed to parents in need of baby items so that they may make good use of them.

Among the items donated were diapers, bottles, wet wipes, baby clothes, and more.

Jennifer Reeder, Director of AA Women's Services, expressed her appreciation for the community coming through to provide goods for those in need.

She said, "It is humbling to see how our community can support each other...I thank God everyday for the blessings that he gives us."

AA Women's Services provides goods, counseling, and other services to mothers/fathers that need aid in raising their children, whether it be as simple as a pack of diapers or providing help in overcoming the throes of life.
