‘90210’ Star Shenae Grimes Gave Birth to a Baby Girl and Her Name Is Rock Star-Worthy
90210 star Shenae Grimes and her hubby, Josh Beech, announced in May that they were expecting their first child together, and now. the happy couple has officially welcomed a baby girl into the world.
As the 28-year-old Canadian actress’ rep confirmed to People, she gave birth to their bundle of joy at 4:22pm on Thursday, September 27, in Santa Monica, California. What’s more, the pair chose a seriously rock star-worthy name for their new daughter.
Taking to Instagram to share a snap of the newborn babe, the glowing mama revealed that they’ve named her Bowie Scarlett Beech. Given the lighting bolt emojis that followed the caption, it seems there’s no question that the little one’s moniker is in reference to legendary musician David Bowie.
“We couldn’t be happier to welcome beautiful baby girl Beech into the world,” the first-time parents told People. Grimes shared a similar sentiment in her own interview with the outlet earlier this year, when she gushed, “I can’t believe our world is about to get a whole lot bigger and brighter, and can’t wait to embark on this wild ride with my partner in crime.”
At the time, she also gave a shout-out to her beau — “I feel like being a father was something Josh was put on this planet to do” — and revealed just how excited she was to become a mother. “I’m thrilled that we’re welcoming a daughter because I know how special the bond between my mum and I has always been,” she said. “She is such an incredible mama to me and I’m so excited to share everything she’s instilled in me and taught me with our baby girl!”
