  • Jennie Garth took a hot pink swimsuit for a dip in a new Instagram video.

  • The 51-year-old has declared it a “pink summer.”

  • She loves the confidence that comes with age.

In perfect sync with the explosive Barbie premiere, former 90210 star Jennie Garth took a weekend dip in her swimming pool wearing an appropriately hot pink swimsuit. The 51-year-old shared a video of her swim sesh set to Taylor Swift’s “Cruel Summer” in which she dove in and swam from one end to the other, emerging in front of the camera with wet hair and a smile.

“Who doesn’t want the weekend to be over? 🙋🏼♀️” she captioned the post.

Fans and followers chimed in with solidarity, and of course, compliments on her bright suit, which featured a knotted-tie top (similar to this one) and high-waisted bottoms (like these). “Lookin good JG!” one person commented. “You look great Jennie, and super happy! 🙌” another added. “Such a vibe,” someone else wrote.

In a July 16 post in which she wore a light pink jumpsuit (like this one) and Crocs, Garth declared this season a “pink summer”—and she has certainly followed through with the declaration. Just this month, she wore a pink tank (similar to this) in another selfie with her daughter and a pink knit top (like this one) in a QVC promotion with Tori Spelling.

At 51, she’s clearly not steered away from bright, stereotypically “youthful” colors—and we love to see it. When the 90210 star turned 50 last year, she opened up about the wonders it did for her confidence.

“You do come into a really cool space at 50—a place of inner confidence and quiet, and it really feels good,” she told Yahoo! Life. “I didn’t think it would feel this good, but it really does.”

In an interview with New Beauty, she said turning 50 isn’t what it used to be.I honestly feel like I just turned 30; I’m so active and vibrant and on the go all the time and juggling so many things,” she said. “I think I’m balancing everything so much better now, so I’m very excited for my 50s.”

So far, it looks like she’s making the most out of them, from business endeavors to becoming an empty nester to being a guest judge on Project Runway—and it’s mainly thanks to her concerted effort to push forward.

“In life, all we can do is keep trying. Then try harder,” she recently wrote on Instagram. “If we want something, we have to put in the effort. No matter what it is. A relationship. A career. A healthier body. But we have to put effort into our mental health too. Don’t forget about you. Today, do something for yourself! Eat healthy, go for a little walk, or stare out the window at the birds. Choose you! 👊🏻❤️”
