These 9 Used Cars Just Got Way Cheaper
The used car market is tough to pin down. The pandemic and the ensuing chip shortages made pre-owned cars more valuable than ever, but prices are finally starting to cool off after a year of manic transaction prices. iSeeCars.com analyzed over a million used cars sold between October 2022 and September 2023 to figure out where the trend is going, and found these 10 cars became way cheaper on the used market.
Tesla Model 3
Average 3-year-old used car price: $32,861
Price drop from 2022: -28.9 percent
Recent price cuts implemented by Tesla for the new Model 3 means used models also took a tumble this past year, with a nearly 30-percent drop in value. These days, you can pick up a Model 3 for just over 30 grand on average, according to iSeeCars.com.

BMW i3
Average 3-year-old used car price: $27,748
Price drop from 2022: -18.1 percent
The BMW i3 gives the market a good idea of what to expect from aging EVs with regards to pricing. The car has steadily decreased in value to the point where it's about the price of a new Chevy Bolt. Depending on mileage, you can even find i3s for under $15,000.

Chevrolet Blazer
Average 3-year-old used car price: $29,062
Price drop from 2022: -16.6 percent
With a new all-electric Blazer about to hit dealerships, the current model is beginning to wane in value, with a 16.6-percent drop in value over the past year. On average you'll be able to pick one up for under $30,000—not so bad considering the Blazer's versatility.

BMW 2-Series
Average 3-year-old used car price: $30,689
Price drop from 2022: -15.8 percent
The BMW 2-Series coupe is arguably the most enjoyable car the company sells right now, offering a relatively small, nimble solution to the sport-luxury daily driver question. Like with most German luxury cars, it's seen its fair share of depreciation over the past year.

Audi A5 Sportback
Average 3-year-old used car price: $32,230
Price drop from 2022: -12.3 percent
The Audi A5 Sportback is a fun, sporty alternative to the more standard-looking A4 sedan, with all of the same luxury features and performance you'd expect from the A5 coupe. Prices for used models dropped an average of 12.3 percent over the past year.

Average 3-year-old used car price: $31,302
Price drop from 2022: -11.7 percent
If you're in the market for a small SUV with a sprinkling of luxury that stands out amongst the German offerings, it's hard to beat the XC40. That being said, used prices dropped 11.7 percent on average throughout the past year.

Genesis G70
Average 3-year-old used car price: $30,689
Price drop from 2022: -10.9 percent
Genesis is killing it right now, and there's no better example of how than the G70. It's the company's 3-Series fighter, sporting good looks, a pleasant interior, and a quality driving experience. Now might be your best chance to own one, as used G70s have dropped in price by 10.9 percent on average since last October.

Nissan Armada
Average 3-year-old used car price: $32,268
Price drop from 2022: -10.8 percent
With the full-size Toyota Land Cruiser no longer offered in America, the Nissan Armada represents a compelling alternative, delivering three rows of seats and serious towing capacity. Used examples fell 10.8 percent in value in the past year.

2024 Lexus UX 250h
Average 3-year-old used car price: $32,931
Price drop from 2022: -9.9 percent
The Lexus UX sits at the small end of the company's SUV lineup, and comes standard with hybrid power. Since last October the UX dropped 9.9 percent in price, meaning you can likely get one in the low thirties if you know where to look.
