1.Emily's makeup looks have evolved over the seasons, just as her character's storyline has.
Makeup supervisor Aurélie Payen said she used a lot of colored eyeshadows on Emily in Season 2, which was influenced by the makeup looks of Brigitte Bardot.
"Specifically for Emily I wanted a change [for this season]. Emily's bold lips have always been her signature look. I wanted to keep that in mind and I wanted to give her a French cool attitude since she was more settled in Paris [this season]," Aurélie told BuzzFeed.
"For Season 3, I wanted her makeup to have more of a French influence — like more pinky cheekbones and lots of mascara. Maybe a balm instead of matte lipstick," she said.
2.In addition to changing up her makeup, Emily also got a new hairstyle this season — which was influenced by fashion icon Jane Birkin.

3.Keeping every actor's skin hydrated and plump was key while filming.

5.Aurélie applied makeup lightly on each actor for a specific reason.
"I start my makeup looks with light foundation and light concealer. I want to show the skin, I want to see the skin. It's very important for me as a makeup artist. Obviously, we are hiding a little bit of what we have to hide if needed," she said.
6.Aurélie and her team pay close attention to the hairstyles, costumes, and makeup looks of each character to make sure all the looks are different from one another.
"So we work to make something functional together because, for example, in one scene, I don't want the characters to all have red lips. So one wears a red lip, whereas, for the other one, we will try to focus on the eyes," she explained.
7.One of Aurélie's favorite beauty looks from this season involves a bold lip and a strong eye look.
"One of the beauty looks that I really loved is from Episode 2 or 3, she's wearing a white and black outfit with wings and she has on a very dark, strong lip and winged eyeliner," Aurélie said.
8.Shooting during a heat wave in France called for a lot of makeup touch-ups from Aurélie and her team.

It was challenging to keep [the actors] hydrated and cool," Aurélie said.</p><p>"We had to be very careful about the sweat [messing with their makeup]. 9.Often, one or two scenes would be shot across multiple days, and each character's makeup had to look exactly the same.

"Maybe we will shoot on a Monday and then on a Friday of the following week and the character has to wear the same makeup. So the makeup has to be the exact same — the exact amount of foundation [has to be applied], the exact amount of lipstick on, the positioning of blush on the cheekbones, and everything like that," Aurélie said.
She added that they have to take a lot of photos of each and every makeup look to have continuity and keep everything consistent.
