After months of anticipation and reports of the royals absolutely spiraling into a chaotic panic, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's Netflix docuseries has arrived. Or at least, the first three episodes have. And if you haven't had time to watch but desperately want to catch up on all the royal drama, we've rounded up the biggest revelations—including comments from Samantha Markle's biological daughter, unseen photos of Harry proposing to Meghan, and some kinda yikes musings about Kate Middleton and Prince William.

Meghan Implied That Kate and Wills Didn't Want to Hug Her

Meghan spoke about meeting Prince William and Kate Middleton for the first time at Prince Harry's Kensington Palace cottage—and implied they weren't into her attempt to hug them, though she also noted that an unexpected hug can be "really jarring" for a lot of British people.

"Even when Will and Kate came over, and I met her for the first time, they came over for dinner, I remember I was in ripped jeans and I was barefoot," Meghan said. "Like I was a hugger, I've always been a hugger. I didn't realize that that is really jarring for a lot of Brits. I guess I started to understand really quickly that the formality on the outside carried through on the inside."

Harry Proposed Outside With a Ton of Candles

Harry said he took Meghan to the garden near his cottage at Kensington Palace and surprised her by getting down on one knee with a buncha candles surrounding him. The docuseries provided pics from the sweet moment (below!) and we even got to see Meghan calling a friend and saying, "Oh my god Jess, Jess, Jess, Jess, it's happening it's happening it's happening, oh my god, he told me not to peek, oh my god."

Meghan and Harry Met Thanks to Instagram

"Meghan and I met over Instagram. I was scrolling through my feed and someone who was a friend had a video of the two of them, like a Snapchat," Harry explained. "With dog ears. That was the first thing. I was like, who is that?"

Said friend immediately reached out to Meghan, writing the following email:

"Between you and I, thought you might want to know this being newly single and all. I put our Snapchat on Instagram and Prince Haz follows me (he's a friend) he called me last night dying to meet you. Hehehe, I might just have to set you up."

Harry Implied That Other Royal Men Didn't Marry for Love

“For so many people in the family, especially obviously the men, there can be a temptation or an urge to marry someone who would fit the mould, as opposed to somebody who you are perhaps destined to be with,” Harry said. "The difference between making decisions with your head or your heart. My mom certainly made most of her decisions if not all of them from her heart, and I am my mother's son."

Meghan Said She Intentionally Never Wore Color Around the Royals

After the series showed her wearing a bright red dress to the Salute to Freedom Gala in NYC, Meghan explained, "Most of the time that I was in the U.K., I rarely wore color. There was thought in that. To my understanding, you cant ever wear the same color as Her Majesty if there's a group event, but then you also shouldn't be wearing the same color as one of the other, more senior members of the family. So I was like, well what's a color that they'll probably never wear? Camel? Beige? White?"

She went on to say, "So I wore a lot of muted tones, but it also was so I could just blend in. Like, I'm not trying to stand out here. So there's no version of me joining this family and trying to not do everything I could to fit in. I don't want to embarrass the family."

Harry Said Wearing a Nazi Uniform Was the Biggest Mistake of His Life ad Discussed "Unconscious Bias"

Harry recalled wearing a Nazi uniform to a costume party in 2005, calling it “one of the biggest mistakes in my life" and saying he “felt so ashamed afterwards.” He added that he spoke to the Chief Rabbi in London afterwards and travelled to Berlin to speak with a Holocaust survivor: “I could’ve just ignored it and probably made the same mistakes over and over again in my life, but I learned from that.”

Harry also spoke about unconscious bias within the royal family as the documentary delved into racist imagery within royal institutions and Princess Michael of Kent's "blackamoore" brooch, saying it's “a constant work in progress for everyone, including me.”

Meghan Couldn't Invite Her Niece to Her Wedding

Meghan is close to her niece Ashleigh (Samantha Markle's biological daughter) but couldn't invite her to the royal wedding due to Samantha's behavior.

"How do we explain that this half-sister isn't invited to the wedding but the half-sister's daughter is?" Meghan said regarding her comms team's position. "So with Ashleigh, the guidance at the time was to not have her come to our wedding. I was in the car with H, and I called her and we had her on speakerphone and we talked her through what guidance we were being given and why this assessment was being made and...and that's painful."

Meanwhile, Ashleigh tearfully recalled, "I think I said I was hurt on some level, but I understood where it was coming from. To know that it was because of my biological mother that this relationship that's so important to me was impacted in that way...to feel like because of her it was taken away, has been hard."

Princess Diana's Relationship With the Paparazzi Hugely Impacted Harry

“Rarely did we have a holiday without someone with a camera jumping out of a bush or something. Within the family, within the system, the advice that's always given is 'don't react, don't feed into it,’” Prince Harry explained. “There was always a public pressure, with its fair share of drama, stress, and also tears. And witnessing those tears. I could always see it on my mum's face. And I guess those are the moments where I thought 'hang on, wait a second, maybe. What am I? Who am I? What am I part of?'"
