It additionally shows promise for its ability to “reduce insulin resistance and improve insulin sensitivity,” a study published in the International Journal of Circumpolar Health, which added, “this may have a protective effect against cardiovascular disease, obesity, and other metabolic diseases and could have prophylactic health effects.”
