'9-1-1: Lone Star' Fans, You Might Be Upset By This Season 4 Premiere Date News

Summer is officially here, which means one very sad thing: We have to wait a little while before all of our favorite TV shows come back for a brand new season. But 9-1-1 fans can breathe a sigh of relief after Fox announced that the hit drama series has an official season 6 release date.

In an official report from Variety, the major network released its entire fall TV lineup and in a happy surprise, 9-1-1 will continue reigning over Monday nights. Beginning September 19 at 8 p.m. ET, fans will finally receive answers to many of the questions after the season 5 finale. Mainly, where Buck (Oliver Stark) and Taylor (Megan West)'s relationship stands, how Maddie (Jennifer Love Hewitt) and Chimney (Kenneth Choi)'s romance will fare now that she's back in the office, and more characters' statuses on the series.

This is all great and we're excited to see what happens in the personal and professional lives of the fictional L.A. Fire Department and emergency call center members. But this leaves us to wonder something else: Where is Fox's announcement for the season 4 premiere date of 9-1-1's spinoff series, 9-1-1: Lone Star?

Despite the lack of an official premiere date from Fox, we do know that 9-1-1: Lone Star was renewed for a new season with Owen (Rob Lowe), T.K. (Ronen Rubinstein) and Carlos (Rafael Silva). As for why 9-1-1: Lone Star wasn't on the official fall lineup, there are a few possible theories.

If fans can remember, season 3 of the procedural drama didn't actually air at the same time as its predecessor last fall in September. In fact, viewers had to wait until January 2022 (a.k.a. midseason) before they could watch new episodes of the Austin-based spinoff. To further note, it actually took a March 2022 crossover for the two shows to begin airing back-to-back episodes after 9-1-1 went on a little hiatus before returning in the spring.

Long story short: If you're looking to know when you can watch a new season of 9-1-1: Lone Star, expect a premiere date for sometime in winter 2023.

Hey, we know this might not be much information nor the exact news you hoped for, there's still a silver lining: At least we know for sure there are new seasons from both shows coming our way. In the meantime, we'll be streaming both shows on Hulu or even watch reruns on USA Network. At least until 9-1-1 comes back ...
