Folks, it's going to be a little while before we head back to Station 118.

On January 17, fans of the 9-1-1 franchise tuned into Fox to watch the season 4 premiere of its spinoff, 9-1-1: Lone Star. As the show follows the lives of favorites like Owen Strand (Rob Lowe) and his son T.K. (Ronen Rubinstein), it led viewers to start wondering about the status of the original series. As some may know, the first half of 9-1-1 season 6 aired back in the fall but it's been close to three months since a new episode debuted.

Thankfully, the procedural drama heard fans' pleas, because the show posted an announcement that 9-1-1 is planning a comeback very soon. "Did you hear the good news? We're coming back! 🔥 #911onFOX returns March 6," the show's account wrote on January 31.

While the big season 6 news certainly thrilled longtime followers, it didn't stop others from voicing their concerns about the length of time it's taking for the latter half to drop.

"March?? That’s so far awayyyyy," one person wrote in the comments on Instagram. "Wish it was on now because I don't know what to do can't wait for it be back on," a different user lamented. "Finally!!! But it’s still a long way 😭," another added.

Though it's still a bit of time, 9-1-1 shared a first look at what to expect from the rest of season 6. In a sneak preview, viewers catch a glimpse of how a lightning storm will affect folks in the downtown Los Angeles area ... including the members of the 118.

By the sounds of it, fans need to prepare themselves for another 9-1-1 adventure.
