Season 6 of 9-1-1 has yet to officially premiere, but it's already causing panic amongst fans.

The hit Fox drama surprised viewers when an official trailer was released in early September. Despite the clip only being 30-seconds long, it was enough for folks to be alarmed about new disasters the team would face in the upcoming episodes. In the video, fans see a blimp crashing into a crowded soccer stadium and a bloody police chase down the highway. What's more, Hen (Aisha Hinds) utters a suspenseful sentence: "Losing someone out there is never easy."

But which character is the fictional paramedic referring to? As Athena (Angela Bassett) screams for her husband Bobby (Peter Krause) at the end of the video, it's inferred something potentially life-threatening could happen to the heroic fire captain of engine 118.

Naturally, 9-1-1 fans were not happy to watch one of their beloved main characters yet again in peril. Without hesitation, many turned to the comments section on YouTube to voice their opinions about the scenario.

"Can we go just one season premiere without Bobby almost dying?! Seriously, this is getting ridiculous!" one fan exclaimed. "We cannot lose Bobby many people love him ️he is very important to everyone and also to Athena can't put her through this," another said. "Bobby can’t die he’s the heart of this show," a different follower wrote.

So, is the end of Bobby coming in 9-1-1 season 6? It's highly unlikely since he's involved with different storylines. What's more, he recently got married in 9-1-1 season 5, leaving fans curious about how he and Athena will adjust to the next chapter in their relationship. According to showrunner Kristen Reidel, we can expect a few challenges for the longtime favorite couple.

"Athena’s going to face a bit of a challenge in the early part of the season, and Bobby’s going to be there to help and support her," she told TVLine. "We’re going to see the two of them together as a team. There will be bumps in the road for them, but those two really are our rock — as a show and for the 118."
