A commenter wrote, “You are an inspiration, happy new year.” Another one added: “GET fit?? You’re the most fit octogenarian I’ve ever seen!”

The exercise maven has inspired entire generations to work out. In the ’80s, her famous videos inspired many to wear colorful tights and bodysuits.

Fonda recently turned 80 and shows no signs of slowing down.

In a recent interview with People, Fonda has said she maintains a healthy lifestyle by doing plenty of Pilates and working with resistance bands — and getting eight to nine hours of sleep a night. In her books she writes, “Maintaining a healthy weight, strong heart and bones through regular physical exercise is a major ingredient for successful aging.”

She also opened up about her personal growth. “I’m thankful that I’ve gotten better over the 80 years,” she said. “I’m less judgmental. I’m forgiving. It wasn’t always true. I’ve really worked hard to get better as a human being.”
