8 Unique Ways Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin Personalized Their Wedding

Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin’s wedding was personalized in every single way. On September 30, the couple hosted their loved ones in South Carolina for their formal marriage ceremony. The religious service took place just over a year after the couple initially made their marriage official in a Manhattan courthouse—and the extravagant celebration was full of sweet and thoughtful touches.

Now more than ever, couples are enhancing their nuptials through significant and personalized details. According to The Knot 2018 Real Weddings Study, 29% of couples turned to a planner to help them bring their dream ceremony to life. Additionally, 38% of couples chose to hire above-and-beyond reception entertainment to make their day feel authentic to their relationship (think: live performances, interactive food stations and margarita bars).

Personalization can take on many forms in a wedding, particularly through the way a couple is committed to their own style and story. (A truly personalized experience will have guests departing and saying, “That was so them.”)

That’s exactly what the new Mr. and Mrs. Bieber chose to do on their wedding day. From matching fashion moments to unique twists on tradition, here are eight ways Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin personalized their wedding.

A Rom-Com Movie Screening

Many of Bieber and Baldwin’s guests traveled to South Carolina ahead of the ceremony to enjoy the luxurious amenities offered by the Montage Palmetto Bluff. But beyond that, Bieber and Baldwin also reportedly treated guests to an outdoor movie screening of Nicholas Sparks’s beloved romantic drama The Notebook. Many couples, especially those who host destination weddings, choose to turn their wedding day into a full weekend of activities for their guests to enjoy. Given that this classic flick is a favorite of Bieber and Baldwin, it served as a romantic (and personal) start to the weekend.

Customized Water Bottles

Personalized wedding favors that your guests can actually use? Yes, please. The Biebers were sure to keep their guests hydrated by giving them water bottles to sip on throughout the day—with their names printed on the wrappers, of course.

With Nods to Their Religion

Bieber and Baldwin spoke openly about how they wanted their second wedding ceremony to be influenced by their religion, and the bride’s unique accessory served as a sweet nod to their intentions. In an Instagram Story shared just hours before the ceremony, Baldwin can be seen wearing a pink and white hat with “Heaven is For Lovers” written across the front.

Bieber also shared the type of music he was listening to prior to the couple’s wedding ceremony. In an Instagram Story, he shared that his pre-wedding playlist included the Christian gospel song “With You” by Eleven Worship.

Immediately after the ceremony, Bieber and Baldwin’s guests popped the bubbly to toast to the newlyweds—with personalized champagne bottles, of course. Kylie Jenner shared a snap of the dazzling decoration: bottles of Moet champagne were encrusted with glittering jewels against the couple’s new last name and their wedding date (for a fancy and memorable touch).

Matching Wedding Party Sets for Guests

Given that your wedding parties will be by your side throughout your planning process and on your wedding day, it only makes sense to get them a few gifts to express your thanks. Bieber and Baldwin chose to get their wedding parties and other guests matching T-shirts and sweatpants to wear throughout the weekend. (All pieces were from Bieber’s clothing brand Drew House.)

The best part? The message on the front of the shirts, which read, “The Biebers, September 30th” was also printed on the photo booth images.

Nothing says personalization quite like a reception photo booth. Give your guests a fun background and plenty of props, and they’ll ham it up in front of the camera all night long. Not only is a photo booth a great way for your guests to have fun with each other, it’ll provide them with an instant party favor that they can enjoy forever.

The Biebers’s star-studded photo booth was no different. Everyone from Kendall Jenner to the Baldwin family got in on the action—even the newlyweds had a sultry photoshoot in the booth. The photo booth added a bubble letter stamp on each image that read “The Biebers, September 30, 2019.”

With a Special Musical Performance

Live entertainment is an exciting way to break with tradition and personalize your wedding reception. And when Justin Bieber is half of the newlywed couple, it only makes sense that music would play a role in the celebration. TMZ reports that the groom sang a special duet with country music group Dan+Shay. The song of choice was allegedly an upcoming single that’s expected to be released later this month.

Hailey Baldwin’s Leather Jacket and Custom Looks

Personalized wedding jackets are trending, and for good reason. Whether or not you opt to get a second outfit for your reception, you can still swap your look by throwing on a unique jacket (bonus points if you and your partner wear matching ones).

Baldwin gave her sleek wedding dress an edgy touch by throwing on a black leather jacket from Celine with the word “wife” embellished on the back in sparkling gems. Whether leather is your style (or you’d rather go the denim route), the opportunities for personalized fashion touches are endless.
