1. Duck Face

The Model Pout's (see #5) less-serious younger sister, Duck Face always looks super cute in pics. The silly pose is actually really flattering, and still feels flirty without feeling try-hard.

2. The "Found My Light"

This selfie is only to be used in situations of extremely good lighting. Gaze into the sun (okay, near the sun) and embrace the golden hour.

3. Fish Gape

This sultry gaze is straight from the pages of a magazine, which is probably why it's such a celeb fave. If you want to give your selfies a high-fashion twist, give this open-mouthed, slightly toothy pose a try.

4. The Hair Curtain

I'm not sure of the science behind it, but this is without a doubt the cutest way to selfie with a friend. Just cuddle up within each other's hair and vogue, hunny.

5. Kissy Face

Ever since the beginning of cameras, girls have done the kissy face in photos (and before photos, the look was probably drawn on cave walls). This puckered-up pose shows off your 'good' side and killer cheekbones.

6. The "I'm Bored"

This pose looks like you're nearing the end of a very long detention and the boredom has officially set in, so you have no other choice than to kill time taking selfies. The ultimate non-try-hard selfie.

7. Brow Too Strong

This is a Kylie Jenner favorite, because it's great for accentuating your arch game, not to mention highlighting a great eye. To achieve the asymmetrical look, just lift one brow, tilt your head, and pout your lips slightly.

8. Model Pout

This pose puts your lips front and center but doesn't look as exaggerated as duck or kissy face. The pout is a look that says "hey boo." Consider your thirst trap nailed.

9. Smize

If you don't know what this is, you've clearly never watched America's Next Top Model, which is a travesty and I highly recommend that you binge it at your earliest possible convenience. Anyway, the closed-mouth almost-smile with major eye action is sweet, but still v. pretty.

I don't think anyone other than wildly attractive movie stars look good from this angle, but feel free to give it a shot if you're really feelin' yoself.

The squinch is all about the eyes and brings a little sun-kissed beauty to any pic. Just squint your eyes slightly, like you're looking into the sun.

12. The Claw

*Said in a Toy Story alien voice.* Utilize your most important extremity for your next selfie. My only advice is to just kind of hold your hand somewhere near your face and go with it.

13. Sparrow Face

To nail the look, just channel a baby bird, any species will do. Open your eyes wide and open your little beak.
