Let’s face it: everybody loves a good villain. Even the most dreadful, morally corrupt, and violent characters—like Tony Soprano, Franklin Saint, and Marty Byrde—have a cult following. That’s not (one would hope!) because viewers actually like these characters, but rather because we can learn a thing or two from watching a powerful figure's downfall. Hell, you might even find yourself empathizing with an antihero. Or worse? Rooting for them.
If you're a fan said stories, we're sure you've already devoured Netflix’s latest miniseries, Griselda. It stars Sofía Vergara as Griselda Blanco, a ruthless drug lord who once ran one of the most profitable cartels in history. In just six episodes, viewers learn about Blanco's tumultuous rise and fall, which is based on a true story. If you haven’t caught up yet—well, you might be in the wrong place. If you have watched Griselda and are looking for a new show to dig into, then keep scrolling. These eight shows have exactly what you want: villainous flair, an insatiable desire for power, and lots of drugs.
