8 places to get Thanksgiving pies in South Jersey

Sunflour Bakeshop has found a new home in Marlton.

Owner Maggie Alfinito had hoped to be open in the shop’s new Meetinghouse Square shopping center location by Thanksgiving, but they’ll miss that by a few weeks.

However, Sunflour is up and running from its temporary kitchen facilities.

The bakery had locations for a time in Mount Laurel and Medford, but closed its digs in preparation of moving to its new location at the Greentree Road shopping center. Sunflour will be located where Randolph’s Bakery was for years prior to closing.

“We are moving,” Alfinito said. “We closed Medford about two years ago and moved everyone to Mount Laurel while we built out Marlton. We kind of combined the two shops into the ideal we were looking for all into one.”

Thanksgiving pies they will have available include: pumpkin, apple crumb, mixed berry crumb, pecan. There will also be traditional cheesecake and salted caramel cheesecake. The pies cost between $20 and $25.

There’s an order online tab on the website or customers can also call for orders.

“We’re hoping we’re about two weeks away,” she added. “We don’t have any storefront right now, but we’re still able to do our holiday pickups.”
