From turtle watching in Mexico to a safari drive in the Serengeti, here are the TK things to add to your travel bucket list this summer.
Umbria, Italy
Located where Umbria meets Tuscany, the 3,700-acre Reschio Estate in the Umbrian hills is an oasis of stunning architecture, breathtaking design, thoughtful ecology, history and exquisite cuisine. The estate is dotted with ruined farmhouses that have been slowly and thoughtfully renovated into modern homes, and the centerpiece of which is the Castello di Reschio, an 11th-century ruined castle that now houses the luxury hotel that opened in 2021.
Owned by London-trained architect Count Benedikt, along with his wife Donna Nencia Corsini, the couple has set about restoring 29 of the 50 ruins on the estate and transforming them into exquisite houses. Today, seven houses are available for guests to rent for vacation. The 36-suite Hotel Castello di Reschio features carefully thought-out architectural and design details, open fireplaces, an array of antiques and custom-designed furniture from local artisans. The hotel features a restaurant whose terrace offers a breathtaking view of the surrounding hills, the Palm Court bar where guests sip local wines as they listen to a jazz pianist, an outdoor infinity pool and a bathhouse and spa located in the castle’s ancient wine cellars.
Summer is the perfect time to visit the Reschio Estate, when guests can go horseback riding on the grounds, play a game of tennis, go for a bike ride, take a dip in the lake, go fishing and much more. Even more, guests visiting July 28 or 29 can catch the Reschio’s Family Theatrical Spectacular, a full-scale theatrical production organized by the hotel team, who oversee the playwriting, original choreography, music, costumes and set design. For the 2023 season, an original murder mystery will be performed on a purpose-built stage at the family’s home.
Even more, the 50th anniversary of the Umbria Jazz Festival takes place from July 7-16, 2023, drawing in visitors from around the world to this important event which is just a quick drive away from the Reschio Estate.

Peak turtle hatching happens in July, making it the perfect time for swimming, SCUBA diving and watching for baby turtles in Cabo San Lucas.
