This 8-Minute Song is Scientifically Proven to Help You Fall Asleep

You don't need to be a neuroscientist to know music affects your mood. How else would "Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae)" have the power to get every living soul at a party on the dance floor no matter their age, background, or dance ability?

But on the opposite end of the power-of-music spectrum, scientists have found one song that's proven to reduce anxiety and help you fall asleep better than others.

The song is called "Weightless" by Marconi Union. According to a report by Inc, the song's flowing harmonies, soft chimes, and rhythms that replicate a heartbeat were crafted in collaboration with sound therapists to be relaxing.

Researchers at Mindlab International played the song to 40 women and asked them to solve a puzzle against the clock. In the end, the song was 11% more relaxing than any other song (other songs played included songs by Coldplay and Mozart) and reduced overall anxiety by 65%.
