If you use a Cuisinart food processor, you're going to want to check the blade immediately, because millions of food processors were just recalled, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission.

Models that have a blade with four rivets (pictured above) around the center could break off over time, and small, metal pieces of the blade could end up in your food. So far, they've received 69 reports of consumers finding pieces of the blade in processed food, and 30 reports of mouth lacerations or tooth injuries.

If you have a food processor with this type of blade, check the model number on the bottom. The faulty food processors were made from July 1996 through December 2015, so chances are yours is on the list. The recalled model numbers are: CFP-9, CFP-11, DFP-7, DFP-11, DFP-14, DLC-5, DLC-7, DLC-8, DLC-10, DLC-XP, DLC-2007, DLC-2009, DLC-2011, DLC-2014, DLC-3011, DLC-3014, EV-7, EV-10, EV-11, EV-14, KFP-7 and MP-14.

Stop using your food processor immediately, and contact Cuisinart to get a replacement blade. Share this story to warn your friends before they fire up the Cuisinart for your holiday cookie swap.
