In our blind taste-test of the best white cake mixes, Walmart’s house brand came out on top. Not only was it super fluffy and tender, the mix produced a cake with a truly white color (also due to the egg whites—no yolks—in the batter). Priced at $1 a box, there’s no reason not to give it a try.
