Acting in a small cameo as Fanning's sister is Daisy Jones herself, Riley Keough.
3.That Thing You Do! (1996)
This is a fun, kooky romantic comedy about a group of musicians ready to do anything to make it. We follow the band from conception to one-hit-wonder status right before everything falls apart as the band's core crumbles to ego, greed, and fame.
4.Walk the Line (2005)
The biography drama is about music legend Johnny Cash (Joaquin Phoenix), following his rise to notoriety from living on a cotton farm to recording alongside Elvis Presley. It also follows and features his many love affairs including the incredible June Carter, played by Reese Witherspoon in one of her most prolific performances.
5.Sing Street (2016)
Another coming-of-age, romantic comedy, taking place during the '80s recession in Dublin, where a young boy finds a safe space in music after moving from a private school to a rough, inner-city school. Nominated for Best Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy at the 2017 Golden Globes, this is definitely one you should watch.
6.Once (2007)
A charming story about Guy (Glen Hansard) and Girl (Markéta Irglová) who stumble upon companionship as they work together through music. This epic and soft romance is told mostly through the songs these two talented people write together. It's a truly magical and musical film to watch.
7.Begin Again (2014)
Down-and-out music producer Dan (Mark Ruffalo) discovers neglected singer-songwriter Greta (Kiera Knightly), and the two blossom a beautiful relationship as they work ingeniously to create Greta's first album. All the while dealing with their personal struggles like Greta's ex-partner Dave (Adam Levine) and Dan's midlife crisis.
8.And Music and Lyrics (2007)
Once a successful boy band member and ready to make a comeback, Alex Fletcher (Hugh Grant) enlists the help of Sophie Fisher (Drew Barrymore) to write a song suitable enough for pop singer Cora Corman (Haley Bennett). Their bond strengthens as they continue working together, and eventually, it's more than friendship.
