As a lifetime resident of Western Pennsylvania, I am accustomed to making a seasonal changeover in my closet. The arrival of chillier autumn weather signals a departure of my summer fashion favorites, and while I'm never exactly eager for lower temperatures and shorter days I do look forward to seeing the cozy and comfortable fall clothes that have spent the past few months gathering dust in my closet.
But it wasn't always this way. In the past, autumn fashion for me has meant bulky, oversized sweaters and coats that can withstand an East Coast winter. However, in recent years, I've found myself eagerly awaiting the debut of new fall items at Aerie. More than just an essential spot for bike shorts, legging and bralettes, American Eagle's cute and casual sister brand has become my go-to for fall clothing — especially because so much of it is under $50.
Upon my initial visit to Aerie's website, I had fully intended to only pick up one new sweatshirt, but as I continued scrolling, I added a few more items to my cart.

It all started with this Sweat Everyday Cozy Crew Neck Sweatshirt. Available in four fall-made colors, the everyday sweatshirt can easily be dressed up or down. The soft, oversized style is also a favorite among shoppers, including one who predicted they'd be "living in the sweater all fall."
Along with this waffle-knit crewneck, I have fallen in love with this oversized collegiate-inspired cardigan. As for accessories, I'm partial to this beanie that's perfect for my larger head and curly hair.
