8 Up-and-Coming Black-Owned Brands to Put on Your Radar

From skincare to vitamins and everything in between, here are some brands you should definitely know about.

Black History Month is upon us, which means there will be plenty of opportunities to dive head-first into all the spotlights on Black-owned brands that are out there to shop—not just during the month of February, but all year long.

As an editor and writer, I try/use a lot of products, but not all in vain—I then get the honor and pleasure of bringing the best of the best to you, our beloved readers.

Below, check out some of my favorite on-the-rise brands—from skincare and vitamins to accessories and drinks! And no, I was not paid (or bribed) to share them. Included are some somewhat still low-key picks (meaning not yet highly-publicized) that may not have been on your radar yet, but definitely should be. Don't say I never put you on to anything!

Here at Parade.com, we're all about sharing products we love with our audience. When you make a purchase on an item seen on this page, we may earn a commission, however, all picks are independently chosen unless otherwise mentioned.

Black-Owned Skincare

Naked Chemistry Skincare

Naked Chemistry is vegan, sustainable, clean skincare by Aveda-trained licensed cosmetologist, Rachel Zeigler.

The brand's multi-use products are "made consciously with clean yet effective ingredients that help to hydrate skin, lighten hyperpigmentation and soothe irritation without harmful ingredients like fillers, fragrance or preservatives." The creator aims to provide "safe and effective skincare solutions while caring for our planet and our skin."

Nola Skinsentials

If you're looking to care for the skin on your entire body—not just your face—look no further than Nola Skinsentials, where "self-care meets skincare."

The clean beauty brand offers a vast selection of products for head-to-toe, is aesthetician-owned, and provides personalized skincare for every skin type, tone, and concern.

Black-Owned Drinks

Lishe Juice

Keep your new year's resolutions, but skip the hassle! This cold-pressed juicery serves up 100% natural, handcrafted beverages to "promote elevation of the mind, body, & spirit through a holistic approach."

Lishe Juice is available for shipping in small batches or packs of larger quantities to help you achieve your wellness goals.

Ebony Wine & Spirits

This Charlotte, NC-based brand is inspired by owner Camillya Masunda's Congolese roots and founded as "her way of celebrating the history and heritage of vast Black cultures around the globe."

Ebony Wine & Spirits offers a variety of alcoholic beverages for the enjoyment of ages 21+ only, of course.

Black-Owned Vitamins & Wellness

TRYWELL

A black-centered health and wellness brand, TRYWELL was "developed to address the glaring nutritional shortfalls often faced by people of color, specifically African-Americans."

The range of vitamins and supplements are non-GMO and made with no artificial flavors or synthetic fillers. Each product is formulated with "clinically proven nutrients" sourced with great care, and "every ingredient is meticulously tested to ensure that all supplements are pure, potent and effective."

Plus, 10 percent of net proceeds from sales are donated to initiatives and non-profits aimed at improving wellness and promoting nutritional literacy within African-American communities.

Herlistic

Herlistic by Ronne Brown provides lifestyle and beauty products for "women who prioritize self-care, want it all, and prefer it delivered."

The brand offers everything from body oil, candles, and feminine care to vegan protein/weight-management supplements, mugs, and herbal tea.

Black-Owned Accessories

Mindful Fee

Created by mental health advocate, entrepreneur, life coach, former celebrity makeup artist, and mom-of-two Felicia LaTour, Mindful Fee is all about lifestyle and self-care, fusing mindfulness and motherhood.

Coining the phrase "Somebody's Mama," the brand creates cool, funky apparel and accessories for, well, mamas, but there's something encouraging for the whole tribe—dads, aunts, kids, sisters, wives, husbands, and homegirls included.

A brand that transformed from its original inception to what it is now, the "knot bag" it has become famous for grew organically via social media and word-of-mouth.

Carlton Yaito hand-designs bags with varying fabrics in limited quantities, and they only pop up every so often, so get them while you can. If you know, you know!
